Today the Coconut Caravan park put on free pancakes by the pool. So off everyone trundled, plate, cutlery and mug in hand to enjoy our breakfast. Heaps of people, as you would imagine, but very well organised. They had 30 massive pancakes cooking at any one time and bulk bags of pancake mix, plus a drill you would use to mix paint, to mix the mixture. So this was a lot of fun.
Glen went for a bit of a drive around Cairns this morning while I chilled with the kids at the pool as I hadn't been for a swim here yet. I spent most of the time in the spa which was very relaxing. The girls and I went to the shops for a bit then we came home in time for an early afternoon tea of fresh fruit salad, didn't need lunch today!!!
The highlight of the day would have been Tori logging onto her LOTE lesson, 3:30 our time. Finally, all the planets aligned, the computer was working properly, we had service, we weren't on the road and we just happened to be home. Tori was stoked to be able to touch base with all her friends, but disappointed that Mrs Bear wasn't there to have a chat to also. It made me realise that as much as Glen and I would be happy to become gypsies and travel around forever, the kids really need their routine and their class mates at this age. We'll just have to wait until they have all left school I think!!!
The rest of the day was spent at the pool making sure all the goggles and snorkels were fitted correctly for the big trip out to the Great Barrier Reef tomorrow, we don't want to waste a minute of our snorkeling time fiddling with the accessories!!!
