Day 48 - Tully

This morning Tony and Bianca cook up bacon and eggs for breaky.  Just what the doctor ordered after a few too many catch up drinks last night!!!!  What a beautiful view to eat breaky by.  We sit on the patio with the cows peering at us through the fence.  The weather is mild now and we are in long pants.  A very pleasant change.  Apparently Tully has the highest annual rainfall in Australia.  We look at Tony's rainfall records and cannot believe it.  It is not uncommon to get over 100mm in a day.  Bianca shows me these bags they hang in each room that absorb the moisture.  They are half full of water and in the wet season they have to change them on a regular basis.  The fans go constantly in the house to dry things out a bit and Bianca says when she sweeps it is often damp.  Very different to our hot dry environment.  Fortunately they don't have the dust issue otherwise the house would be full of mud!!!!

It is nice to be in a house again.  The kids just love the foxtel and all the riding equipment and everyone is able to go in their separate direction for a change.  The animals are a huge hit also.  Our little animals lovers could just play with them for hours and we talk a lot about our Zeus and Felix.
Tony takes Glen and I into Tully for a look.  A lovely little town that is still rebuilding. We spend the afternoon relaxing.  Tony and Glen fix the tap in the van that has lost pressure.

That night the kids decide to have a sleep over in Nicholas' room with Fred the pug.  They think this is just great and Fred doesn't seem to bothered by the additional room mates!!!  He snores which sends the kids into fits of laughter but they all get to sleep.....eventually!!!
